- The main season — calm seas, reliable boat crossings and clear water.
- June – September
- Monsoon. Boats to Havelock and Baratang are frequently cancelled.
Important travel notes
- Carry valid government-issued photo identification for the flights and the islands.
- Inter-island boats and the Baratang trip depend entirely on sea and weather conditions and can be cancelled at short notice.
- The Baratang road passes through the Jarawa tribal reserve — convoy timings are fixed by the administration, and photography of the tribal population is a criminal offence.
- Water sports and scuba diving are arranged locally and paid separately.
- Mobile network and internet are limited on Havelock and Neil.
- Carry sunscreen, a hat, swimwear and any personal medicines.
- Hotel check-in and check-out follow hotel policy.
