10 nights, 11 days, planned hour by hour — open any day to see where you go, what you see and where you sleep.
Arrive at Guwahati airport, where the group is met and transferred to Kaziranga.
Kaziranga National Park is a world heritage site, famous for the great Indian one-horned rhinoceros. The landscape is sheer forest, tall elephant grass, rugged reeds, marshes and shallow pools — and it holds a good number of tigers along with large breeding populations of elephant, wild water buffalo and swamp deer.

Kaziranga closes to visitors during the monsoon and reopens around the middle of October, which is why the circuit runs in winter.
- October – April
- Clear skies and cold, bright days in the hills — the season this departure runs in.
- March – May
- Warmer, with the orchids and rhododendrons out.
- June – September
- Monsoon — Cherrapunjee is at its most dramatic, but landslides regularly close the Arunachal roads.
Important travel notes
- Arunachal Pradesh requires an Inner Line Permit for Indian nationals. Carry valid government-issued photo identification — we arrange the permits for the group.
- Bumla Pass needs a separate permit issued locally and is not included; it is also subject to army clearance and weather, and can be closed at no notice.
- Sela Pass is at 13,700 ft and Bumla at 16,000 ft. Anyone with a heart condition, breathing difficulty or high blood pressure should consult a doctor before booking.
- Carry heavy woollens, a windproof jacket, gloves and walking shoes with grip — the Tawang stretch is genuinely cold in winter.
- Mountain roads in West Kameng and Tawang close at short notice for snow or landslides; the itinerary may be resequenced if the route is shut.
- The jeep safari at Kaziranga is subject to park operation and is not guaranteed.
- Mobile network is patchy between Dirang and Tawang and absent on the Bumla road.

Every itinerary is planned around the group size, the children's ages, the seniors' comfort, your travel dates and your budget.
Carefully selected hotels
We recommend hotels on cleanliness, location, food quality, safety and comfort — the things you notice at 11pm, not the things in a brochure.
